Huangshatuo Oilfield is located about 3km north-east of Taian Huangshatuo Town of Liaoning Province. Its structure location lies in the western area of Middle Tiejianglu structure of the eastern depression in the Liaohe basin, and its southern part borders on the Oulituozi Oilfield. The main producing horizon is Shasanxia section of Shahejie. The oilbearing lithology is trachyte. The volcanics formation at Shasanxia section drilled through by Xiao22 showed good oil-gas signal. The well section 3240.0~3288.6 (net thickness 34.6m/3 zones) was tested by 7mm choke with nature flow of 62.5t/d oil and 8169m3/d gas. This commercial production rate was followed by full-scale exploration in this area. From 2000, this area went into the Progressive Exploration & Development stage, which shows excellent effect.The reservoir is special lithology-structual reservoir with lithology type of trachyte volcanics rocks. Because there are no available developing modes and successful production experiences for reference, in order to fully understand the reservoir, new techonolgies of drilling, mud logging, logging and production were applied in the Progressive Exploration & Development research to enhance the overal oilfield development effect. Logging series 3700 and 5700 (peripheral sonic imaging technology) were used to identify the oilzones a general understanding of this oilfield was generated, which built a foundation for future reasonalbe and effective development. Up to Dec. 2005, proved reserves of this oilfield is 2171×104t, proved oilbearing area is 9.3 km2. Totally 65 wells were drilling for production, 49 wells are working. Daily oil production rate is 550t, daily gas production rate is 12.04×104m2, yearly oil production rate is 24.04×104t. The overall recovery factor is 5.09%. The economic benefit of this oilfield is 14554×104 Yuan. Compared to other similar oilfields, the development effect of this oilfield is in the highest flight in China.The main research content of this project include: re-confirming the structure according to the seismic data and drilled well; conducting research on characteristic of volcanics based on drilling and logging data and dividing volcanics lithology; integrating coring and logging data with dynamic production data to understand the fracture development situation; identifing the oilzone by the electrical property plots and conducting research on the oil-water distribution;...
