The linear descriptor systems have already attracted attentions of manyresearchers because of its background in the real world. It is convenient to describemany natural systems, including interconnected large-scale systems, economic systems,electrical networks, power systems, chemical processes and so on, by linear descriptorsystems than by normal ones. In recent years, those problems related to the theories andapplications of linear descriptor systems have been paid attentions by people. In themost of literatures, the eigenstructure assignment problems of linear descriptor systemsare researched by(proportional plus derivative) state feedback or output feedback, butthere is few results is about output plus partial derivational state feedback. Because ofthe specialization of derivative matrix of descriptor systems, sometimes eigenstructureassignment problems of linear descriptor systems can not be realized by(proportionalplus derivative)state feedback or output feedback, however, they could be realized byoutput plus partial derivational state feedback.This thesis researches an eigenstructure assignment problem of linear descriptorsystems by output plus partial derivational state feedback. Our contributions includemainly the following two aspects:(1) The eigenstructure assignment problem is first simplified to one byproportional plus derivative state feedback by several theorems.(2) A new method is offered to solve the eigenstructure assignment problem oflinear descriptor systems by output plus partial derivational state feedback, and itsvalidity is verified by an example.
