In this paper, the Changxing formation's stratigraphy, lithology, sedimentary diagenesis and reservoir characteristics in upper Permian, have been painstaking researched in northeast region of Sichuan. The research by the theoretical guidance of carbonate -sedimentology and petroleum geology, reservoir geology, and the latest research progress at home and abroad, with the research object fo field profile and drilling, logging information. Focusing on reef sedimentary facies of the main features, coral reef facies and non-physical contrast, the main role of diagenetic reservoir. Finally, use earthquake prediction and other tools to predict reservoir favorable distribution area.Research shows that the upper permian Changxing formation's reservoirs are divided in two major categories, reef reservoir and non - reef limestone reservoir, the reef reservoir's reservoir performance is better than the non - reef limestone reservoir's. The cause of this variance is due to the two different depositional environments. Because so different sedimentary environments original sediments, although both experienced the same geological history, but the reservoir capacity does exist a greater difference. Bandong 4 well as reef facies' reservoir in the main reef development in a single cycle of upper, the main reservoir rock is a fine-crystalline dolomite, such reservoir is the best reservoir in the study area. Bandong 14 wells as non - reef facies' reservoir with poorer reservoir performance, they can form a good reservoir only when the cracks developmented.
