Since the advent of remote sensing technology, every larger mining countries in the world attach great importance to developing geological survey and mineral resources prospecting of remote sensing technology, Preliminary geological remote sensing can provide indispensable information for follow-up work in the field of geological survey, geophysical and geochemical work constituency and prospecting target optimization, Base on the superior of the macroscopy periodicity, sustainability and rich comprehensive information, remote sensing technology has played a positive role in mineral exploration of the geology and achieved good effect. Especially in the western high and cold mountainous area, by the use of remote sensing technology research resources, not only changed the traditional method of geological work and overcomed the harsh natural conditions and unfavorable factors such as traffic inconvenience, but also shorten work cycle , improved the quality of investigationand and reduce work costs.The paper selected the eastern erea of Tongren polymetallic copper mine in Qinghai Province as research district , by use of the ETM and SPOT-5 multi-spectral remote sensing date and base on the full analysis about spectrum of mineral alteration characteristics and formation mechanism as well as remote sensing image data space geometry features and band performance , according to the band combinations transform and enhancement, used the "band ratio + principal component analysis" method, selected the best variable from remote sensing altered information and supplemented by SVM technology, combined with the geological mineral material, carried on abnormal information extraction of remote sensing and exploration target optimization study, achieved major results as follows:1. In order to enhance the clarity of remote sensing images and the accuracy of geological interpretation, first of all, according to statistics analysis about ETM image eigenvalue, selected the best bands of color combinations, and then fused with the SPOT-5 panchromatic band, combined with the exsiting geological materials, according to the image characteristics analysis and geological survey in the field, thus completing the study of geological interpretation of remote sensing images and Conditions of mineralization, and to redefine lithology of some stratum, providing a new geological data for the study area. 2. On the basis of the full analysis about pectrum features and ores formation mechanism, accoding to the ETM band performance and combined with geology and mineral resources, establishing concept models and technical model of the minerialized extraction from the remote sensing information3. Through the analysis of ETM band and combinations of variable spacial geometry characteristics, adopting two mothods of the component analysis and band ratio, combining SVM technology to selected the optimal variable from remote sensing mineralized information, and then through the treatments of mean filter and density Segmentation, extracting the anomaly with metal mineralization related to the soil, silicification and iron.4. Studying the typical mineralized zones of the near-infrared mapping alteration minerals pilot, and grasped the alteration mineral zonation and distribution disciplines, as well as the relationship of mineralized information in the abnormal of remote sensing, and provided the basis for prospecting forecast.5. Based on the comprehensive analysis of regional geological background and ore-controlling factors, through the verification on the main remote sensing anomalies in the field, combined with the analysis of geological mineral and geophysical and geochemical data, optimizes nine ore-finding target and provides a scientific basis for the deployment of the area under geological ore-finding work.
