Based on the geological and hydrogeological data of geothermal wells and springs, this paper develops comprehensive analysis and studies on the geothermal resource in Shandong province deeply. Completes the division.Analsizes the heat flow background in Shandong at first, summarizes the types of geothermal reservoir and cap rock, discusses their distribution characteristics respectively. The main geothermal reservoirs are reservoir of karst fissure of Cambrian-Ordovician, reservoir of pore and fracture of Cenozoic, and fracture reservoir of granite and metamorphic. The cap rocks are quaternary loose soil and deposition after Paleozoic Era. And on this basis, according to the characteristic of geothermal system, divides the geothermal resource into two types: conductive type and convective type in deep circulation, and then divides Shandong into two districts, which are districtâ… (conductive type ) and districtâ…¡(convective type in deep circulation).Divides districtâ…¡further into 4 sub-regions according to different characteristics of geothermal geological condition, geothermal reservoir, cap rock and hydrochemistry. In the end, divides the sub-regions and district I into several third level parts by index method and their geothermal geological condition. This division has some certain directive meaning in the exploration of geothermal resource of Shandong province, achieves the aim of this paper.
