Wind profilers are used for detecting the wind distribution of the atmosphere.It is planned that a network of about 120 wind profilers will be deployed throughout the whole of China by the end of 2020.So,it is important to carry out some methods to improve the quality of data. In this paper,the development of wind-profiler data quality control are mainly presented.Based on the acquired data and related background information,some analysis are presented:①characteristics of typical contamination,②analysis of the common methods,③application of kalman filter in data quality control of wind profiler. we can draw the following primary conclusions:(1) The characteristics of typical contaminations are obvious.Besides ,the characteristics of moments of spectra are representative in different weather conditions such as clear air, stratiform precipitation and convective precipitation.(2) The results of median filter and moving average filter are presented,these two methods can both remove contamination with high frequency.And it is simple to carry out. Five methods of distinguishing wind profiler data contaminated by precipitation are recognized.Accuracy are all upwards of 89% used five methods in case of precipitation, in which, those methods of plotting vertical radial velocities against vertical beam SNRs and spectra widths were up to 99% and more.(3) Kalman filter can improve the quality of data.But it seriously lies on model parameters.So,more research is needed in future.(4) Any method can not remove all contamination alone.We can use combined method to solve the issue better.(5) The lack of precise data to compare with is a bottleneck to improve the performance of data quality control methods.
