Electromagnetic Scattering character of target is significant for modern radar and electronic warfare. Especially in radar automatic target recognition, it's indispensable. To obtain the characteristics of electromagnetic scattering apart from the more laborious and time-consuming measurement of the microwave, the scattering field forecast technology is a quick and efficient way.In theory, this article research on forecast methods of radar target scattering characteristics such as the physical optics method, the physical diffraction theory, the equivalent electromagnetic flow method, incremental length diffraction coefficient method a lot. And by presenting a simple and efficient equivalent electromagnetic flow method for singularity suppression, simulation results show that it is simple to implementation and the singular points is better inhibitory.At geometric modeling of targets, study the use of six points triangular surface, the panel compared the use of three-point triangular planar surface greatly reduces the quantity subdivision surface, improve the computing speed . At the same time after studying on the target geometry modeling, proposed the optimized subdivision law. Use of the law can guarantee the accuracy of the calculation, reducing the amount of calculation at the maximum degree. It has a strong guiding significance.At project implementation, using Borland's C + + builder development tools, has developed a targets scattering feature extraction test platform, the software design using object-oriented thinking, have good expansibility, you are relax to add a new algorithm and do the new simulation. Then using the existing algorithm can calculate the scattering characteristics of the goal for the use of target recognition. Faced with increasingly sophisticated multi-core technology, the multi-threaded calculation module is increased, you can parallel computing on multi-core machines, full load occupy CPU, greatly improve computing speed.In this paper, the scattering center extraction algorithms is studied at the same time, a variety of algorithms have been studied and compared. Scattering feature extraction module is added to the characteristics of target scattering test platform a, which makes the platform software can get more rich scattering characteristics of goal information.
