With the economic development in our country, Especially in-depth development of the western region and the large-scale highway construction loess Plateau region in which can cause lots of slope engineerings, Because of topography, geomorphology and other conditions. On the existing and building highway lines, there are many landslide and other geological disasters, traffic disruption and so on. So it is very important to research the formation mechanism and dynamics and comprehensive treatment technology of the thick layer loess graben landslide. In this paper, by the Dalugou landslide,which is on Shanxi Provincial Road 303(Yan'an- WU Qi county)for the engineering background, the paper analysises systematically the development background, basic features, the formation mechanism, as well as a comprehensive treatment program of the dynamic optimization problem of thick layer of landslide. As follows:(1) First of all, this paper introduces the classification of loess landslide briefly, and gives the definition of a thick layer of loess landslide. The analysis is based on several aspects, such as loess landslide morphology, lithologic composition, structure characteristics, and the type of landslide soil.(2)Through the regional geological environment, lithological composition of landslide, analysis of deformation and failure characteristics, the paper summs up the internal factors of landslide and external conditions of the formation of landslide, establishes the mechanical model of Dalugou landslide, and makes mechanical stress analysis and researches into the formation mechanism of Dalugou landslide from both the plane and vertical section of the current status of landslide.(3) Based on the strength reduction FEM, the paper selects Moore Coulomb yield criterion, and finite element analysis software selection Midas / GTS. And in considering the predisposing factors, it makes numerical simulation in three working conditions for the stress state and deformation characteristics according to the revival process of landslide.(4) The paper labels out the comprehensive management of landslide, such as the optimization of governance programs, detailed study of optimization programs, and dynamic monitoring strategy. Then the paper selects the options by using the basic principles of FAHP, and thereby evolves a governance program which combines with retaining engineering, slope cutting, drainage works, and dynamic monitoring.
