Under The Perspective Of Environmental History Of The Western Regions Tribute Lion Research

The research on the environmental history was original from United States in 1970s.In course of development,this subject has obtained many achievement,and the system of investagation and theory has formed. The substance of this paper mainly probe in the relationship between western region's tribute lion and Chinese lion culture and which bring the influence on enviroment.the ways and theory of this paper is based on the environment history and some ecological knowledge.The paper was divide into 5 parts, the brief content as follow.The fist chapter,Introduction. It expounded the former investigation into this field. Meanwhile introduced my paper'difference from those and the innovation.Besides in this chapter it summarized the documents,method and theory. And the dufficulty and challenge was faced in the process of paper writing.The second chapter,Comprehending the eco-environment history and the attribute of research on historical animals. Explaining the "view of environment history"in the title is the main aim of this part.The lion is a very important and distinguished animal in Chinese culture.This field should belong to the area of historical animal research.But the attribute of historical animals reseach has not been ascertained, which need make clear the difference of historical geography and environment history.Discriminating the two subjects is my paper's theory base.The third chapter, the history of Chinese acquaintance with lions.Because of natual condition limited lions have never exist in China. But Chinese lion culture has been prosperous for more than 2000 years. In this chapter, it probe in the origin and development of lion culture in China. And deducing the power of culture,which will influence on the whole society.The fourth chapter, the historical process of western region's tribute lions and inferring the distribute of Asian lion. As the very cherish tribute from western region the lion was adored by Chinese emperor. The category of these lions is Asiatic lion that is one of endangered aniaml now. According to the document about tribute and the knowledge of zoology and ecology,it would deduce the distribute of Asiatic lion in history.The fifth chapter,the effect of social culture demand on the lions'living. This is the core of my paper, and also the conclusion.It is very hard to estimate the exact quantitative conclusion that the tribute lion influence on the environment,but this influence must be exist.People's culture behaviors had made a great impact on the animals'living, and this impact would extend the whole ecological syetem.The interaction relationship of culture and environment is a very complex problem, and one of important content in envrionmental history research. My paper could not explain the entire meaning of this problem, but illuminated the effect of tribute lions in ancient China.It seems a bit clutter only from the arrangement of chapter ,but every chater has it's essentiality. As a Master degree paper on environmental history the main intent is finding a correct way.Taking about the relationship between culture and environment,the first step is account for the origin and content of the culture,and the course of its development.Furthermore the effect of tribute lions was a joint that connected the culture and environment. My paper was written according as this thought path, and deduced the final reasonable conclusion.
