Set of computer-controlled, high-performance servo drives and precision processing technology on the whole,the gantry machining center applied to complex surfaces efficient, precise, automated processing. Research CNC gantry machining centers to improve national scientific and technological strength and overall national strength are important.In this paper, derived from the Jilin Provincial Science and Technology Agency project "Large CNC machine tool design and manufacturing technology research" in cooperation with the Changchun CNC Machine Tool Co., Ltd., developed a large gantry-type CNC machining center. The center intends to use the viaduct-type beams fixed and mobile design table structures meet the requirements of large and complex workpiece.Papers use the modern mechanical CAD/CAE theory and analysis technologies,the first to use that corporation provide the gantry machining center electronic drawings to created the machining center model in Solidworks software, then import the model into finite element analysis software PATRAN, set loads, boundary conditions, material and cell properties, mesh it and then to create the parts and the whole machine finite element model. Then simulate the actual machining center beam conditions,go to the beam static analysis and modal analysis, by analyzing that the data compare with corporation provide contrast to the technical indicators to determine beam design is reasonable. Finally, analysis the whole machine by the finite element method,get the maximum displacement of dead load and the low natural frequency of modal analysis, corresponding to the relevant technical requirements of corporation to find the gantry machining center design shortcomings, in order to provide the basis for enterprises to improve product quality.
