| Abstract: The Mathematical model for simulation of airflow in working face with auxiliary ventilation is established based on study of the airflow pattern and characteristics of the auxiliary ventilation. Mesh partition method is analyzed and the influence of roughness factor of airway surface on simulation results is studied. A commercial CFD software Fluent is used to simulate the airflow in working face with forcing auxiliary ventilation by taking RNG k ?εtwo-equation model. The airflow pattern in the working face is obtained. The simulation results fit the model experiment data well. The methane distribution in working face with forcing auxiliary ventilation was simulated on the basis of study of airflow. The mass transfer equation and boundary conditions to describe the methane emission on roadway surface is studied. Based on the simulation results, the distribution pattern of methane is studied in working face with local ventilation when methane is emitted from the head of working face. The effects of the methane emission amount and the location of the duct on the distribution of methane are analyzed, that provides the basic theory for avoiding methane accumulation. |
