Compared with the traditional dye, the quantum dots (QDs) present many considerable fluorescence properties (such as broade excitation spectrum, tunable and narrow emission spectrum, good stability, large Stokes shifts and high quantum yield), which make them been extensively studied in biological detection and biological imaging. Recently, reseachers pay more attention to the chemiluminescence (CL) applications of QDs. This thisis consists of two parts. In the first part, we reviewed the basic conception and application of QDs. The second part is as follow:1. Influence of Different Stabilizers on Chemiluminescence Property of CdTe Quantum DotsWater-soluble CdTe QDs with three different stabilizers (glutathione (GSH), L-cysteine (L-cys) and cysteamine (CA)) and same size were synthesized in aqueous solution. In basic conditions, hydrogen peroxide could directly oxidize the water-soluble CdTe quantum dots to produce strong CL emission. It was found that the capping ligands have a profound effect on the efficiency of the QDs CL system. Fluorescence spectra, UV-visible spectra, CL spectra, kinetic properties of the CL reaction and Infrared Spectroscopy (IR) of the system were measured to investigate the CL reaction mechanism. Moreover, the effects of 6 metal ions on the CL system were carefully investigated. This work gives a new path for further improving the efficiency of CdTe QDs CL by optimizing capping ligand of QDs.2. Influence of Different Stabilizers on Chemiluminescence Property of CdS Quantum DotsWater-soluble and the same size CdS QDs capped with three different thioalkyl acids (glutathione (GSH), L-cysteine (L-cys) and cysteamine (CA)) were synthesized in aqueous solution. The effects of different oxidant systems on the chemiluminescence intensity of CdS QDs were studied. The results indicate that the CL intensity depended on the stabilizer of CdS QDs. This work gives a new way for further improving the efficiency of QDs CL by optimizing stabilizers ligand of QDs.
