Plate is widely used in modern industry. Now plate is massively applied, such as oil and gas transmission pipeline, ships, bridges, containers, boiler, marine component, especially heavy industrial. The various defects of sheet and the inaccurate set of straightening force need straighten.many times in plate forming process, as the same time it is a kind of waste. Improving the straightening yield, reducing straightening times and reducing the cost are important means to save energy and resources in the medium thickness plate forming production. The discretion of sheet metal finished products reflects a country's industrial level. Straightening technology of sheet is an important technology of plate straightening. Straightening technology of sheet can increase the yield of plate substantially, but there is a great gap between China and the other country, so we must develop this technology actively. Research plate straightening technology is very important to promote plate straightening product quality and yield and energy consumption.This paper is mainly on the plate straightening bending process. Research the bending stress of neutral layer and plate straightening model is based on straightening principle. Research the medium thickness plate plane bending stress by finite element simulation software. Establish the medium thickness straightening finite element model and simulation analysis by the finite element analysis software-ANSYS/LS-DYNA. There is certain theoretical significance to correctly calculate stress, strain and further understanding the mechanism to bending deformation straightening based on this problem's solve. Because neutral layer position have certain effect to straightening force, the plate bending stress distribution and stress neutral layer position calculation are needed. The main content of this paper as follows:(1) Calculation of bending stress distribution and neutral layer position are based on elastic-plastic theory and straightening theory.(2) Using finite element simulation on the plate bending modeling simulation. (3) Through three roll bending plate bending tests on the plate, establishing experimental platform, verify the feasibility of the calculation result.
