Olefin metathesis is a unique carbon skeleton redistribution in which unsaturated carbon-carbon bonds are rearranged in the presence of metal carbene complexes. Recently, Ru-based olefin metathesis catalysts are widely used in organic synthesis.This thesis is composed of two aspects: Part I Synthesis of photo-induced degeneration of N-heterocyclic carbene catalystsSP spiro compound's polarity will change when it irradiated by UV-visible light, then it can transfer of different polar solvents.Our group previously found that when it was applied to catalyst could well achieve the recycling of catalyst.In this paper, we will connect SP spiro compound to N-heterocyclic carbene to synthesis a photo-induced degeneration of N-heterocyclic carbene, then exchange with the Grubbsâ… catalyst, to synthesis a novel recyclable catalyst which has the type of Grubbsâ…¡catalyst. Initial studies found that the novel catalyst like Grubbsâ…¡catalyst, have good catalytic effect to the diene RCM reaction.It also can effectively reach the catalyst recycling by UV-visible.
