In order to meet the needs of natural gas peak shaving, emergency and strategic reserve, Petro China Co Ltd plans to construct a gas storage group in Changqing gas field, which includes a number of sour gas reservoirs, with Shaanxi Y as one of them. The sulfur gas injection technology is essential to the construction of sulfur gas injection reservoirs. However, there is no mature technology of sour gas reservoirs at home and abroad for reference at present. Thus the preliminary studies of Shaanxi Y sour gas reservoir ground injection production technology is of particular importance.This paper mainly completes the following research contents through the analysis of the Shaanxi Y gas storage ground injection production technology:(1) The gas injected to Shaanxi Y storage is product gas, which contains no impurities, and the produced gas is raw gas containing H2 S, CO2. At the same time, the conditions of injection production processes are distinctly different. This paper creatively proposes the technology of bidirectional measurement of injection pipe, injection production wells, which can simplify the injection production process and reduce the project investments.(2) While knowing the formation fracture pressure, gas injection wellhead pressure can be deducted by using gas reservoir engineering analysis method to conduct nodal analysis of gas injection. Then the reasonable gas injection pressure can be ascertained with comprehensive considerations of gas storage pressure operation ranges and the design capacity of ground equipment and pipe.(3) Through the analysis of the node pressure changes of Shaanxi Y gas storage gas recovery system, as well as the forecast of the hydrate formation conditions, this paper proposes ground processing technology consisting of the two-level stepping down of horizontal wells, moving alcohol injection in process, moderate-pressure and high-pressure gas gathering, heating and throttling process model, and the three glycol dehydration.(4) Regarding the gas components of H2 S and CO2 contained in the sour gas reservoir gas storage, this paper summarizes the patterns of injection cycle variations and proposes a sour gas reservoir and puts forward the desulfurization and decarbonization process suitable for the Shaanxi Y storage.(5) After analysis of the gas storage compressor’s characteristics, including periodicity of strong injection and compressor production, magnitude of operating condition changes, strong adaptability, this paper proposes to select a compressor configuration scheme suitable for Shaanxi Y storage and checks the working condition of the compressor.Researches and summaries of mining technology in Shaanxi Y gas storage provide precious experiences and technical support for the construction of Changqing gas field and future domestic large-scale constructions of sour gas reservoir storages.
