Rare earth elements have unique physical and chemical properties by the special structure such as 4f empty electron orbits, large torque and strong atomic spin coupling characteristics. From the view of hard-soft acid-base, rare earth elements belong to the category of hard acid. Rare earth elements are apt to forming complexes with hard base, for example, Re-O and Re-N bonds.LH is a common medical drug, it contains similar vulcanization group "-N=C-S-" It can be used as a vulcanization accelerator. I pre-proved that LH could promote SBR vulcanization when it as the accelerator, but its effect is not ideal.The rare earth Y2O3 and LH were used to prepare levamisole hydrochloride rare earth compounds(LHLC). The product LHLC was characterized by FTIR, TGA and X-ray. The results showed that rare earth elements and N atom occurred coordination reaction. Compared with LH, LHLC had better thermal stability, and LHLC had a relatively regular crystal structure.The DM was used as the main accelerator in this paper, and the effect of promoting D, promoting CZ, promoting TT, LH and LHLC on SBR cure kinetics were studied respectively. Compared to first reaction order model, autocatalytic model can describe the dynamic behavior of SBR. The activation energy of mix rubeer with LHLC was less than that with LH, it denominated that LHLC made the reaction occurr more easily. With the amount of LHLC increasing from 0.3 phr to 0.9 phr gradually, the value of K(T) increased significantly, and the activation energy of vulcanization reaction would decreased.Vulcanization accelerating performance of LHLC and its impact on the mechanical properties of SBR/CB vulcanized rubber properties were studied, and compared with the SBR/carbon black composites using common accelerator. The results showed that the overall performance of vulcanized rubber with LHLC preceded only by vulcanized rubber with promoting TT.Based on the foundation of previous research, the author fixed the amount of accelerator and vulcanizing agent constant, and the effect of coordinate of each accelerant on EPDM vulcanized rubber was studied in this paper. The results showed that the curing rate, tensile strength, tear strength, hardness and 100% modulus of EPDM rubber could be improved by increasing the amount of LHLC, but the elongation at break was declined a little. Blooming data showed that promoting TRA, promoting BZ and LHLC were in good coordination, when one of the three exceed, the vulcanized rubber would bloomed when accelerated blooming trials executed to 96h. Apparent crosslink density, heat aging properties and abrasion resistance of the EPDM vulcanized rubber would be improved with increasing the amount of LHLC.
