Paper mill waste deinking and waste wood-based were used as raw material in this paper. Iodine adsorption value were indicators to discuss the best optimum conditions prepare activation of sludge-based activated carbon under KOH and ZnCl2 as activators. The optimal activated carbon were characterized on the structure by XRD, SEM, etc and compared the different performance of activated carbon. The effect of treatment on paper mill bleaching waste water was significant, charcoal reused, recycled high yield, waste water treatment effect was still significant.Comparison with same activator, activated carbon made from add flour performed preferably;under different kinds of activating agent, KOH was better than ZnCl2 on activating effect. Comprehensive comparison, under KOH activation,the activated carbon from mixing flour and deinking sludge residue was best, sludge activated carbon iodine status adsorption value was 623.44 mg · g-1. Aperture concentrated within the range of lnm-2 nm range, BET surface area 481.329 m2 · g-1, a pore volume of 0.2536 cm3 · g-1, the proportion of micropores 80.32%; For processing paper mill alkali extraction stage (E segment) bleaching effluent, COD、color and turbidity removal rates were respectively 72.3%、 100%、99.7%.Three regeneration yield was still as high as 74.7%, repeat for processing E stage bleaching wastewater, COD removal rate was still up 31.2 percent, color and turbidity removal rates were respectively 75.4%,71.2%. Flour additives can effectively improve the performance of activated carbon, which treating wastewater more significant effect.Preparing waste slag deinking sludge based activated carbon with deinking waste and wood, as adsorbent on paper mill wastewater treatment, it not only can solve the problems of waste deinking sludgeand waste preparation on intractable and easy to environmental pollution. but also this new way can reduce the cost of bleach wastewater treatment, achieving paper-making enterprises cleaner production.
