In this paper, Cationic polyacrylamide was used together with sodium alginate (SA), carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), nano-microcrystalline cellulose (NCC), modified nano-microcrystalline cellulose (NCC-KH570) compose binary system respectively. Then i studied its Enhancement mechanism and the influence of the pulp dynamic filtering performance when added them to paper.The results are as follows:(1)The best enhancement effect of the binary system is CPAM/NCC-KH570,followed by CPAM/NCC and CPAM/CMC binary system.(2) The best enhancement effect on paper made by secondary fiber properties of the binary system is CPAM/CMC, followed by CPAM/NCC and CPAM/NCC-KH570 binary system. Its tensile index, burst index and folding index were increased by 76.8%,210% and 370% compared with original paper made by secondary fiber properties.(3)AS for the research on the effect of dynamic filtering performance of the pulp, the best is CPAM/NCC-KH570 binary system which can not only improve retention of tiny components, but also increase the filtering velocity. It has ideal effect of retention and leaching.(4)Through mechanism research, CPAM and its binary system generated a kind of complex compound interweave the surface of paper, and formed the coacervate which make fiber combined more closely to enhance the strength of the paper.
