Bursting disc is a safety relief apparatus of pressure vessel. The fatigue life of bursting disc is a matter of great concern to the project. Because little research on fatigue characteristics of the bursting disc and more factors on the fatigue life of the bursting disc, it is difficult to predict it. In standards of the various sections of our country there is no specific provision in the fatigue life of bursting disc, it is not reasonable for regular replacement. Correct reasonably determine the fatigue life of bursting discs, which can use factory cost savings to reduce losses, and can guarantee the safe operation of the production equipment. This paper built the apparatus for an experiment of fatigue life of bursting disc, and had fatigue experiments of fatigue life of forward acting bursting disc, combined with ANSYS finite element simulation, studied the chamfer of junk ring and residual stress on fatigue life influence. The main content of this paper is as follows:(1)This paper built the apparatus for an experiment of fatigue life of bursting disc. The apparatus had a wide range of applications,an adjustable pressure waveform, and strong fatigue resistance characteristics.It improved the high pressure pulse test machine, design the fixture, improved the sealing performance and fatigue resistance of fixture.(2) This paper had fatigue experiments of fatigue life of forward acting bursting disc. It made forward acting bursting disc with a circular plate, had fatigue experiments of fatigue life, compared with forward acting bursting disc in static pressure blasting, and researched on chamfer affect of fatigue life of bursting disc.(3) ANSYS finite element software is used for stress analysis of forward acting bursting disc. It calculated the fatigue life by calculating the stress intensity, researched on affect of different degree of curvature R/S,gave the critical curve of the position of fatigue fracture.
