In order to analysis the electrostatic hazards in the industrial production process of powder, this paper studied the electrostatic characteristics of powder material in production process by simulation experiments and resistivity test.Firstly, the resistivities of different particle sizes quartz sand、 RDX、 HMX were tested and analyzed. Secondly, the influence of sample mass、chute length、chute material、chute inclination angle and feed rate on charge accumulation was studied by chute method. The influence of sample mass、aperture size of sieve、water content and particle size of sample on charge accumulation was studied by sieve method. Finally, The influence of super fine processing on electric spark sensitivity of RDX was researched.Result shows that the charge accumulation of powder follows liner relationship with sample mass. Charge accumulation decreases with the increase of feed rate, increases with the increase of chute length. The water in powder restrains charge accumulation seriously in sieving process. The resistivities of powder material are differently tested by different test devices. The resistivity increases apparently with the decrease of particle size. The electric spark sensitivity of super fined RDX is much lower than the normal size one.At last, according to the results of simulation studies, the paper analyzed the characteristics of different charged objects in the industrial production process of powder, compared the features and trigger conditions between different discharge types, predicted the electrostatic hazards that may arise in the industrial production process of powder. What’s more, the paper presented a series of precautions from both reducing generation and achieving full dissipation of electrostatic.
