Pressure vessel is widely used in petroleum, light industry, machinery and other industrial. In terms of design, regulations list complex manufacturing processes; in terms of technology, structural discontinuity area has a complex geometry. All of these make the analytic process of analytic method difficult. With the rapid developing of the technology, many new ideas have been proposed for optimization of the design process and technology improvement of the manufacturing process. Especially, the second development technology is the most widely used in optimizing the welding process of various types’ joint simulation of pressure vessel, and it has begun to play an important role in the welding process simulation.Take the air/oil pressure tank as an example. On the one hand, do the sampling welding experiments in pressure vessels discontinuous regions, which can test deformation of the specimens and provide a basis for the whole welding deformation control. On the other hand, use the secondary development technology to do the welding process parameters simulation. Based on such research ideas, carried out the following research:Clarify the pipe joint characteristic, welding process and modeling analysis process. Reveal the importance of the welding technology and reasonable model design. Integrated the secondary development ideas, to achieve all-round optimize simulation process and the efficiency improvement of welding parameters making.Use the finite element simulation software to assess the three models of welding simulation which is for clarifying the importance of factors before welding. Integrated secondary development ideas, to achieve data of pipe joint entry and select function under the human-machine interface. All of these are prepare for the second development of the welding process parameters simulation.Using the finite element simulation software, combined with the Swing and Awt technology, to exploit the parameters simulation program for pressure vessel welding process, which can do the "macro" treatment for the heat source parameters and modeling process. It also realized the life-death element method for welding simulation and created a dialog to call the "macro" file. Users can not only create the desired structure in the analysis, but also can establish a common macro library. Through the analysis of pipe joint parametric simulation the soft can generate the specified images and data.Based on the compare results of MIG welding process and simulation process, clarify the pipe joint structure feasibility and necessity of welding process parameters simulation of secondary development. It has realized the aim of optimizing the whole welding simulation process, at the same time, guiding the process of manufacturing. In the end, the distortions are reduced and the welding quality is improved, thereby reducing the waste of materials and resources.
