Biomass is a renewable source of carbon, can be transformed for various forms of chemicals in various ways.Using biomass to produce various chemicals have great help to solve the problem of energy crisis and the environment protection, have great research value.Corncob is a typical lignocellulosic biomass, the main components of corncob are hemicellulose and cellulose. In this paper,make the hemicellulose and cellulose hydrolysis into a high value-added chemicals by use the characterized of corn cob,research rules of the reaction and seek the best reaction conditions,the purpose is to make corn cobs in the better use of hemicellulose and cellulose.Firstly, make the corncob hydrolysis by the effects of toluene extraction and sulfuric acid catalysis, then the hemicellulose in corncob can be transferred into furfural.The result shows that,in the conditions of the corncob as raw material, sulfuric acid as catalyst and toluene as extraction solvent,when the reaction temperature 160℃,acid feed ratio 2wt%,oil feed ratio 12ml/g,water feed ratio 0.5ml/g, the reaction time 80 min, hemicelluloses in the corncob can maximum into furfural, the yield of furfural reached 71.9%, and the fiber loss rate is small,only 22.4%.Residue for electron microscopy and ir analysis shows that after reaction hemicelluloses in the corncob is broken down, residue remaining lots of cellulose and lignin.After hemicelluloses in the corn cobs into furfural, the cellulose content in furfural residue is 54.4%. In furfural residue as raw material, sulfuric acid as catalyst, water as solvent, changing the reaction conditions, studying the effect of reaction conditions on the yield of levulinic acid. The result shows that,when the reaction temperature 200℃,the sulfuric acid concentration 6%, the reaction time 40 min, the liquid-solid ratio 20:1,the yield of levulinic acid is biggest,reached 51.9mol%, and the cellulose has decomposed completely.Residue for electron microscopy and ir analysis shows that cellulose has broken down after reaction, only in the levulinic acid residue remaining is amounts of lignin.And studied in organic solvent of methyl isobutyl ketone(MIBK), hydrolysis the furfural residue into levulinic acid.In furfural residue as raw material, sulfuric acid as catalyst, MIBK as solvent, changing the reaction conditions, studying the effect of reaction conditions on the result. The result shows that,when the reaction temperature 200 ℃,the sulfuric acid concentration 6%, the reaction time 60 min, the liquid-solid ratio 20:1,the yield of levulinic acid is biggest, reached 30.8mol%. and the cellulose has decomposed completely.Residue for electron microscopy and ir analysis shows that the cellulose has broken down after reaction, only in the levulinic acid residue remaining is amounts of lignin.
