With the growth of the natural gas resource development and application, gas gathering pipeline system tends to increasingly large-scale and complicated. In order to ensure the economy, security and rationality of natural gas pipeline network system design and operation, The urgent need of introducing optimization techniques for complex gas pipeline system on optimization design, optimization management, optimal scheduling and optimization expansion is proposed to promote the prosperity and development of the national economy.In this paper, a lot of investigation on research status of network optimization algorithms and theory have been done, determine the network layout optimization, then determine the parameters of diameter, wall thickness and pipe material.According to the characteristics of the ground connection gathering tree pipe network, Aiming at the shortest total productivity length of the pipe network, an improved topology optimization model design of gathering pipeline network is established. This paper combines the Dijkstra algorithm with genetic algorithm, namely the hybrid genetic algorithm that gets the global optimal solution.Based on hybrid genetic algorithm, by using the VB programming methods, this paper realizes natural gas gathering and transportation of topological optimization design in computer. This paper completes the preparation of "Gas gathering pipeline network layout optimization software," utilizing GUI (Graphical User Interface) technology, computer graphics technology, OLE (Object Linking and Embedding) technology, database technology, object-oriented technology, Combined the engineering design with computer programming, optimize gas gathering pipeline network. In the example of gas field A pipeline network optimization applications, compared the improved productivity length of pipe network with before, we find that the productivity length of the improved gas gathering pipeline network optimizes 14.07% totally.
