In our country, Cement concrete consumption increased year by year,standing at the top of the world.The application of cement is very extensive, because the preparation is not complicated, can cast any shape, being high strength and small pollution to the environment.Water conservancy, stone, building and defence is inseparable from the cement concrete.However, with the development of today’s science and technology and the continuous improvement of the environmental protection system, it’s imminent for cement to restructuring to improve. Modern industrial requirements of cement is required high strength, early setting, light weight and durability, etc. Through the study, in order to improve the comprehensive properties of cement concrete, adding cement additive is a good idea.The standards of the industry is higher and higher in 21 st century,making the characteristics of the cement concrete must be very good. In addition to the cement, sand and water, cement additive has become the essential components in industry. Cement dispersant is widely used in the building industry in most countries for its lower price,quick effect and easily making.Such as America, Norwegian,the utilization rate of cement dispersant reached more than 60%.Dispersant can rise to a number of roles, such as wetting, grinding, dilution and stability. Joining the slurry can be quantitatively reduce water amount, it could reduce the cost and consumption and protect the environment. At the same time, cement dispersant significantly increased the solid content of slurry,making the slurry hold low viscosity, easily to mix and reduce the manpower cost.The Slurry dispersion system is stable and uniform after mixing.In this paper, based on alpha olefin sulfonate monomer, benzoyl peroxide as initiator, sodium phosphite as chain transfer agent, by solution polymerization, using free radical copolymerization of alpha olefin sulfonate, we prepared to study the influences of polymerization process on the properties of polymer. The polymer structure was characterized by Fourier Transform Infra-Red(FT-IR).The surface activity,wettability and dispersion property were studied by surface tensiometer,contact angle meter, water mud slurry viscosity meter and rheometer. The emulsifying properties of the product and foam properties was studied by water separating method,and agitation method. The thermal stability of the product was studied by Thermo-Gravimetric Analysis(TGA).The single factor experiments were completed,the influence of dispersant for cement slurry under the condition of different single factor was checked.The best polymerization process is determined.The best polymerization process was used to pulling to do the research of physical and chemical properties testing and application performance of polymer.The performance of water mud slurry was studied by different dosage of dispersants, slurry PH, temperature and Zeta potential.Comepounding with alpha olefin sulfonate and sodium lignosulphonate,the compounding dispersant was got.At the same time,application performance of compounding water mud slurry was studied.The results show as follow:(1)The best polymerization process was: W(BPO)=0.7%( based on weight of monomer),W(SHP)=4%(based on weight of monomer), the initiator was added slowly, gradient heating way was used, the highest temperature is 80℃, total reaction time is 4 h,the pH value was adjusted to 7~9 by NaOH, yellow transparent oily dispersion was got.It’s named poly alpha olefin sulfonate dispersant(2)The results show that alpha olefin sulfonates were polymerized completely by FT-IR, CMC of the product under 25 ℃is 5.9×10-2mol·L-1, the surface tension is 37.3mN·m-1,its contact angle on the coal surface is 32.30°.They all Show that it has higher surface activity and wettability. Poly alpha olefin sulfonate heat-resisting temperature is about 300 ℃, it also shows good emulsifying properties.(3)By investigating the dispersant dispersion effect of the slurry through the different dispersants added quantity, temperature, PH and Zeta potential variables, the best technology of water mud slurry preparation is: the normal temperature、the pH of water mud slurry is about 7~9,the content of poly alpha olefin sulfonate is 0.6%,the water mud slurry Zeta change tends to be stable.(4)Compounding with alpha olefin sulfonate and sodium lignosulphonate, different mix proportion of dispersant on the slurry viscosity change is inspected.The results show that when the mass ratio of 1:1 between poly alpha olefin sulfonate and sodium lignosulphonate,the water mud slurry viscosity is the lowest.
