There are lots of noise damping paints nowadays, which insulation performance is also good. The material source of the sound insulation damping paint is wide, and the preparation is generally simple. The damping paint is a very popular insulation material. The synthetic damping coatings such as damping sheet filler, emulsion, spherical particle and some admixture were used in the laboratory. Damping paint can be applied to the train body, floor, the airplane and the automobile. Damping paint can play to a good sound insulation effect and make people feel well on high-speed operation of the vehicle.To study the sound insulation performance of damping paint, do the following three things: firstly, through the literature to understand that the material density, Poisson’s ratio, Young’s modulus and damping factor of insulation materials insulation performance has great influence, then through the test of material density and Poisson’s ratio, Young’s modulus and damping factor value for the emulation and simulation lay a theoretical foundation; finally the test results are as follows:Young’s modulus is 3.015×108Pa, Poisson’s ratio is 0.22~0.28, density is 1300~1500kg/m3, damping is 0.3-0.36.Using finite element method calculation and analysis, and transforms the dynamics problem of structure acoustic conditions for acoustic problems is with the help of the impedance matching, in this way, you can use ANSYS powerful structural dynamics capability. Using ANSYS finite element analysis, it can reflect the characteristics of easy to use, but also has its shortcomings. In the process of theoretical analysis and modeling, some non interactive files are compiled by ANSYS software. If the desired material geometry and standard file is not the same, not only to change the parameter of materials or frequency, but also to modify the values of the geometric parameters and the corresponding node; ask the geometry and material consistent with the standard file, it will change the material parameters or frequency. The non interactive file prepared by ANSYS can be reused, and also can be used as a template, so it can improve the efficiency and save a lot of time.Through the simulation, the main factors affecting damping paint insulation performance are obtained. Elastic modulus on the sound insulation performance impact is the biggest. However, the actual change in the elastic modulus is small, so damping coating elastic modulus of 3.015×108 Pa; From the simulation, the damping bigger the better damping, maximum damping paint 0.36; Density also have an impact on the amount of noise, it can be seen from the simulation, a density of 1500kg/m3 best; From the simulation process, the Poisson’s ratio is almost no damping effect, so damping paint on Poisson’s ratio averaged 0.25.
