Energy Saving is a long-term strategy in terms of economy and social development which is crucial now. The mineral resources is poorer than before, suffering from the pressure of lack of resources. The techniques of mineral processing plant feature sophisticated technology, and equipments is more professional. Automation of mineral processing control technology is widely used, and energy-saving is the key direction in future. Ma Anping Mineral and Wasted Rocks Utilization Inc. in Huili county has owned LALA copper processing plant owned by Liangshan Minerals which has a daily manufacturing capability of 6000 tons. It is the largest non-ferrous metals processing plant in Sichuan. However in the manufacture process, mineral ores has changed which leads to two problems:the techniques are lagging behind and cost is high; and the some of equipments is in high energy consumption and index instability.This article is based on the previous and new manufacturing technologies, has researched the direct materiels cost, human resources cost, manufacturing fees, administration fees, financial fees and sales cost in this two techniques, and use the project cost analysis, time value of the money,program comparative analysis, static analysis, dynamic analysis, to get the conclusions of internal rate of return, net value, dynamic investment recovery period and other economic indicators, and compared them. In the process of equipment upgrading and manufacturing capability, we suggest to use hydrocyclone, and new type of filter instead of spiral classifier, the old type filter. This will solve the problems in classification and dewatering in order to minimize the economic lose. The estimation of two upgrading programs has been given based on the difference of investment recovery period.This article has proposed the practical energy-saving policies, and suggest to use the new type equipments and saving the energy. Take the LALA minerals for example, this analysis is aimed at save the energy, upgrade the company’s structure, and improve the techniques and to increase the added value of concentrate products. With the application of the suggestions and policies, the research results means a lot to our work in utilization of low copper-concentration minerals and improve the management of plants, and the application of the program has a bright future.
