As an important interaction zone between land and sea, estuarine areas is a complex ecosystem with special changing geobiological, geophysical, geochemical processes, and sensitive and fragile ecological environment, yet the estuary is also the advantageous strip of the human development activities, rapid economic development also makes a lot of pollutants into the estuarine environment, causing environmental quality of the estuary shore subject to different degrees of damage. On the other hand, environmental estrogens is widespread in the environment, it will have a serious potential biological harm in μg/L or ng/L concentration level, and become the research focus of environmental, health and safety awareness and other aspects. Migration, transformation, bioavailability and other aspects of current research related to environmental estrogens in environmental media is still significantly weak, And as an important area between land and sea to undertake an important carrier of pollutants intersection, it urgently need to strengthen the research of environmental estrogens in estuarine and coastal area.In this paper, we take the Yangtze Estuary as the study object, environmental estrogens in sediments collected were measured, and at the same time make correlation analysis and ecological risk assessment, environmental estrogens sorption to sediment and the mechanism had been discussed, preliminary exploration and research of absorption for ionic strength, pH as the environmental factors and sediment component was also discussed. Such knowledge is essential to provide basic information of environmental estrogens in Yangtze estuary and also provide theoretical support and scientific basis for water environment government of estrogen organic pollutants. This study improved the traditional extraction methods of environmental estrogens, and established the new method for detect the target substance by using ultra-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (UHPLC-MS/MS).The total content of five kinds of environmental estrogens in Yangtze Estuary sediments ranged from 4.30 to 23.73ng/g, with a mean of 10.46ng/g. From the detection rate, the single estrogen in E1,E2, BPA detection rate was 100%, while EE2, E3 detected relatively low. From the detected content, the phenolic estrogen (BPA) (3.93~21.53ng/g) was significantly higher than that of steroidal estrogens (El, E2, E3 and EE2). From the distribution of space, the environment estrogen levels in WSK is highest, followed by LHK, and it showed the Huangpu river, Liuhe river and other tributaries of the import have a major impact on the water environment of the Yangtze Estuary. Industrial and agricultural production, household sewage water is likely to be the important source of environmental estrogens in the environment. Compared with global around study areas, environmental estrogen levels of sediments the Yangtze River Estuary are at lower level. And we found that the content of total estrogen, steroidal estrogen and BPA between organic carbon content, carbon content was not significantly correlated. By calculating the estradiol equivalents, EEQs in all sampling points were less than lng/g, estrogen ecological risk is relatively small.Sorption of three estrogens onto sediments showed that the Freundlich model and the linear model fits the experimental data better Langmuir model, the estrogens adsorption capacity of the sediments are different, which highest and lowest LogKFr value appear in XP and YY. LogKFr value of the sorption of EE2 and E2, and the average particle size of the sediment was positive correlation(r=0.873, p= 0.019; r=0.841, p= 0.018), and the LogKFr of BPA also has some positive correlation (r=0.730, p= 0.062); Whlie LogKFr value of the sorption of EE2, E2 and BPA, and the content of the sediment was positive correlation(r=0.834, p= 0.02; r=0.914, p= 0.004; r=0.983, p= 0.01);and as well as the LogKFr value of the sorption of EE2 and E2, and the BC content was positive correlation(r=0.876, p=0.01; r=0.973, p= 0.01), the LogKFr of BPA also has some positive correlation (r=0.75, p=0.052);The ion concentration among the environmental factors is not significant, while the pH value has a certain influence on the sorption, when pH from 3 to 7, LogKFr value did not change significantly, and the pH value from 7 to 9, LogKFr value is significantly lower. Sediments component are the main factors affecting the sorption of sediment, organic carbon in sediments is the main contribution of sorption of EE2, LogKFr with H2O2 and 375℃ in a muffle furnace burning to remove organic carbon components were higher, but also shows that it has a high adsorption capacity.
