The traditional the product can not be used under mine pin because of the monist environment, full of inflammable and explosive gas as well as dust. All the equipments are not in working order provided that the common electronic components are placed in a special box with explosion proof standard. With the rapid development of the national economy and the increase of energy saving technology at home and abroad, variable frequency technology in coal mine equipment is introduced and developed gradually. It is reported that its energy saving can reach to more than 30% in a working environment.The coal mine scraper conveyor is controlled traditionally by the Asynchronous Motor and the Combination Switch, Hydraulic Coupling, reducer and other machinery are used to keep its balance and protection, while it is controlled by frequency conversion and variable-frequency motor without Hydraulic Coupler at present. Both of them are independent. The design on equipment box under mine pin must meet the requirement of smaller volume, lower weight but full of multiple function because of the limited space under the mine, terrible transportation and installation condition. The flameproof inverter machine is a combination of frequency conversion and the variable-frequency motor, the frequency converter is installed on the top, and variable-frequency motor is installed on the bottom, the cable transmission can be cancelled to realize the reasonable matching between performance and size, moreover, reliability and service life of equipment are also improved, which is the developing trend of the coal equipment market. It is significance to our country’s development of coal equipment. Because the motor and inverter are in the sealing box body, how to make the internal cooling the heat generated is effective, one must solve the problem, a comprehensive study of the most effective methods, one is water cooling, and water cooling structure design is lack of effective model and theoretical basis, this paper is the use of simulation software simulation of the water cooling structure, so that the design according to the system of enterprise and on one machine, and the design cycle can be shortened.The water cooling part of the variable-frequency machine with the 3300V, 1200kW power is studied in the paper. First, a brief introduction of the development of coal and coal equipment market has been made, and flameproof machine performance and structure are also introduced, simulation software ANSYS and fluid theory are explained, then the way of dispersing heat is also described, and the structure of water cooling part and the way of heat production are also discussed. After that, the flow and channel length of water cooling machine are calculated by traditional equations, the comparison between the calculation results and the experiments. Finally, the dispersing heat model of the water cooling machine is established and the model is simplified. The simulation software ANSYS Workbench is used to calculate the motor of conversion part, the reactance part and the motor part, the dispersing heat coefficient can be obtained to analyze the temperature field, and the temperature distribution diagram of the machine can be obtained. A good agreement between the simulation result and the experiment means the reliable design on the machine.
