With the development of the industrial environmental pollution problem has aroused the public wide concern. Among many kinds of polutions, water pollution and air pollution has gradually affect people’s health and travel.In recent years, fog and haze occurred frequently, river pollution is serious. Environmental monitoring is an important basis for environmental protection and management, so the efficiency and quality of environmental monitoring must be high. With the increasingly developing of network technology, electronics and information technology, environmental monitoring technology has been also greatly developing. The previous monitoring methods have been phased out and are being replaced by new technologies. Monitoring efficiency and quality are also constantly being improved, which can timely grasp the situation of pollution, and promptly deal.Based on the above problem, the paper selected the the environment of the Coal plant for the study. Monitoring its waste water and surrounded air quality, water and air can be measured in the same time, which can achieve a three-dimensional environment monitoring system, Wastewater pollutant index include the pH, the suspended solids, chemical oxygen demand (COD), ammonia nitrogen, sulfide, benzene and so on. According to the actual conditions, the paper only select the pH value that is only one of these indicators to monitor. The air pollution is mainly caused by CO, SO2, NOx, fine particulate matter. The paper selected CO, SO2 and fine particulate matter pollutants for monitoring. The system uses MSP430 MCU and 3G Wireless data transfer unit WCDMA-DTU, use pH sensor, gas sensor, and PM2.5 dust sensor for date acquisition that constitute a wireless remote monitoring system based on environmental embedded internet. It can complete data wireless transmission between MCU and PC data centers, implementing real-time monitoring of the environment.
