Pleated cartridge filters with theirs high particle collection efficiency, long service life, the simply equipped manufacturing process and easy to clean and replacement somewhat are widely used in various fields such as automation, medicine, nuclear industry and compressors. But in the current situation for the liquid fluid mathematical pleated filter models studies are less. Therefore, studying the disciplines of fluid flow containing particles and pure fluid in porous media are particularly important for studying the mathematical model parameters such as permeability. The research plays an important role in designing and manufacturing pleated filter elements.In this paper, we apply the D2Q9 Lattice Boltzmann Method on the permeability of porous media study. We use the research on the mathematical models of pleated rates on both sides of pleated filter pressure drop and the changes of flow field.We describe impurity particles Brownian motion and convective motion and gravity with math languages.(1) We introduce the basic principles of discrete lattice Boltzmann method and D2Q9 discrete velocity models and molecular kinetic theory. We define the nature of the lattice Boltzmann method which is collision and migration between particles.By applying momentum conservation, energy conservation and mass conservation disciplines we analyze and verify the use of its penetration of the formula.(2) We describe the computational fluid dynamics(CFD) and construct the mathematical model the fold rate which clearly shows the relation between pleated height and pleated wide.The research on different fold rates implies that the pleated filter elements with different pressure drops rate changes and the changes of flow field.(3) According to the completing the job is the nature of convection and diffusion of the impurity particles motion(Brownian motion).Particles with other impurities and its own gravity may lead to deposition phenomenon in surfaces and internal of porous media.
