Fixture is a relatively dynamic element in manufacturing. The factor of fixture on product is crucial. The quality of the product and the improvement of production efficiency are affected largely by the quality of fixture design. With the rapid development of the manufacturing industry, the concept of the consumer has been changed from the way of fewer species and large batch to the way of multi-species and middle or small batch. This change directly affects the manufacturing enterprises to develop new products to adapt to the new markets. And the development of new products makes a sharp increase in the workload and complexity of production. Enterprises must enhance its rapid response capacity in order to improve their own competitive in market. Manufacture a high-quality product in a short time is the absolute principle. This require that enterprises should shorten the development cycle of fixture design. How to improve the design efficiency of fixture, how to ensure the quality of design, how to achieve the reuse of fixture, and how to achieve the flexibility of fixture, has become an urgent problem to be solved. Fixture design of turbine blade is a process which need experience, and it will not be redesigned generally, but by analyzing the existing fixtures which has a high similarity, and obtain new fixture which is needed.Computer-aided fixture design has a prominent role in improving the quality and efficiency of design, the experiences and skills of fixture designer can be inherited. Fixture design of turbine blade has been studied in this article, according to the characteristic of turbine blade fixture, Feature-based Parametric Modeling and CBR are adopted to accomplish the intellectualized design and digital design of turbine blade fixture design.Intellectualized design and digital design mainly target blade information, machining processing information and clamping information. First, the models of each standard part of turbine blade fixture could be created based on parametric method, which can provide part information for subsequent fixture design; continue to complete parametric design of turbine blade fixture for assembly; provide self-contained information for CBR; Finally, retrieve eligible turbine blade fixture based on coding technique.According to the above analysis, the general idea of this article: when design fixture of a new turbine blade, enter the necessary information in human-computer interface, retrieve the most familiar size of turbine blade and its code of fixture, and retrieve all fixtures in the light of this blade, by fixture code to match fixture option of single selection list, then modify the searched fixture and complete the whole process.
