Study On The Effectiveness Of Safety Sign Recognition Training Based On Cognition And Memory Theory

With the rapid development of economy, the living standard for people has been further improved, and security concerns and the need also become higher and higher. At present, the production safety situation is generally getting better in China, but it still has a great amount of accidents. Safety training is the effective method to improve people’s safety knowledge, to enhance people’s sense of safety, to polish up the security performance of the people. People’s safety performance or observing safe behavior is the most concerned thing in the actual process of safety production. Safety signs recognition training is to enable people to acquire relevant safety knowledge, and in order to better enable people to improve safety behavior. Therefore, safety signs recognition training is the role to solve a direct cause of the accident first, namely, the lack of security knowledge. Through the appropriate safety signs recognition training, so that improved safety knowledge, to promote compliance with safety behaviors, thus, preventing the occurrence of accidents effectively.Previous studies suggest that safety training is the effective method to improve people’s safety knowledge, to enhance people’s sense of safety, to improve the security performance of the people. Although scholars carry out relevant research about safety signs and its training, there are not so many studies about the effectiveness of different signs training methods, especially lacking of researches for safety signs effective training methods in Safety Signs and Guidelines for the Use. First of all, this study introduces the present situation of safety production in China. Then Start from the analysis of causes of accidents and investigate the status quo of safety signs recognition rate. In order to improve the effectiveness of safety signs, the 103 safety signs in Safety Signs and Guidelines for the Use are used as experiment materials. By safety sign recognition rate experiment, safety signs with lower than 50% recognition rate are screening as experiment materials to conduct safety signs recognition training experiment. Safety signs recognition training experiment is carried out after one week when completed safety signs recognition rate experiment. To perform the training,140 subjects were selected as subjects and randomly assigned into seven equal-sized groups:controlled group, paired-associate learning group, safety consciousness& paired-associate learning group, recall training group, safety consciousness& recall training group, recognition training group and safety consciousness & recognition training group. And seven groups were simultaneously performed compared experiment of safety signs recognition training. The study shows that:First, compared with the controlled group, the subjects of all six training groups are significantly improved in comprehension level of safety signs, namely, training can help people improve comprehension of the meaning of safety signs and enhance safety signs recognition rate. Second, the subjects from recall training group and safety consciousness& recall training group perform better than those form paired-associate learning group, safety consciousness& paired-associate learning group, recognition training group and safety consciousness & recognition training group. However, there is no significantly difference in paired-associate learning group, safety consciousness& paired-associate learning group, recognition training group and safety consciousness & recognition training group. Third, in the safety signs training method described above, recall training has higher performance. Fourth, there is no significantly difference between three groups with safety consciousness training and three groups without safety consciousness training. Finally, the analysis of principles, purposes, content and objects of safety signs recognition training, and on this basis, combining with memory-related cognitive theory, setting up safety signs training system, and proposing a solution corresponding sign recognition training effectiveness.
