| Mill is a kind of media movement smash equipment that is widely used in materi-al crushing and grinding operations. It has been researched for a long time by scholar at home and abroad. With the development of modern industrial, a variety of high-energy ball milling equipment has been emergent, however the research of relevant theory is relatively slow. Vertical dual-planetary ball mill was studied in this paper to explore how to affect the ball mill grinding efficiency with operating parameters. On the basis of that, we can provide the reference to the operating parameters of mill creating ore power and the analysis about media movement.Firstly, the research status and development trend about domestic and foreign ball mill are summarized in the paper, so is the status of the medium ball mill movement theory and we focus on the basic theory of particle discrete element method as well as application status on the ball mill study. We analysis the principle of operation and the movement condition on vertical dual-planetary ball mill and we also state the main op-eration parameters which impact on movement of milling media is how to affect the grinding results. We also discuss the theory about ore crushing power. So we can pro-vide and establish theoretical basis for the next discrete element numerical simulation and experimental study.Secondly, the target is impact energy of vertical dual-planetary ball mill in this paper. Three operating parameters including the ratio of media, ball material ratio and medium grade aggregate are selected. Each operating parameter takes corresponding level values and we use orthogonal experiment to optimize the experiment scheme. With the particle discrete element simulation software EDEM to build the simulation model, we have numerical simulation for different experiment scheme and get process impact energy of the ball mill grinding ore. Through analyzing dates obtained by sim-ulation with range analysis and variance analysis and combining with media movement, we get the conclusion which is the best combination of vertical dual- planetary ball mill operating parameters.Finally, with the experimental which is vertical dual-planetary ball mill grinding platinum palladium ore, we verification the best combination of operating parameters which are got from simulation and find that the experimental results are almost con-sistent with the simulation results. Thereby, the particle discrete element method in ver-tical dual-planetary ball mill application is correct. |
