As the rapid development of economic globalization, it is the surge in demand for wood products, followed led to the mass production of wood products, however it is accompanied by the worsening global ecological environment, which also makes the international community for the life cycle assessment produce a more keen interest in its development process and a more in-depth research, so that it can be better used in the production of wood products.The paper briefly introduces the definition of the LCA, the significance and the LCA development, and the LCA research results of production of wood products used in domestic and international are summarized, designed to reveal the LCA practicality and economy, and promote the health of China’s economic development and the environment and timber products for our depth LCA study provides some reference. after reviewing the domestic and international methods of life cycle impact assessment for wood products, with log transportation and sawn timber production as the research process, combined with the characteristics of sawn timber products in life cycle assessment, global warming, acidification, eutrophication, dust and solid waste as the main evaluation index, established the life cycle impact assessment method for sawn timber products. Based on the five aspects including the list analysis, selection the type of environmental impact, classification of the environmental impact factor, calculation of the environmental impact load, weighted and standard environmental impact potential, and the evaluation model was built. Finally, the collected actual data are applied to the established of the evaluation model, the results showed that the effects of global warming and acidification of the evaluation index in the contribution of environmental value are the largest, followed by the solid waste pollution, smoke and dust and eutrophication. We put forward the constructive suggestions to reduce the environment hazards caused by sawn timber production. The Simapro evaluation of harvesting, transport and production of software used in the three lumber product process, through the software calculates the process for human health and ecosystems and natural resources compare the contribution values of evaluation indexes, finally to carry on the summary of the full text and give corresponding advice, and through to the lumber product life cycle assessment, the whole wood industry of cleaner production in China that can produce a positive meaning.
