Benxi Iron and Steel POSCO Cold-rolled sheet unit with an annual production capacity of 1.9 million tons. It includes three automatic production lines:a cold tandem rolling line, a continuous annealing line and a Galvanizing line. Its produce is used for the automotive and appliance markets with high-end board, in order to change our production capacity of such a serious shortage of the situation.Cold rolling technology is the core of the AGC control system, and its role is to enable the mill to be controlled in accordance with the thickness of the pre-set target. With AGC control technology continues to improve and perfect and mill exit thickness control precision continuously improve.In this paper, base on the introduction of in-depth study and research Benxi Steel No.2 cold rolling mill, five-stand cold rolling AGC system based on, focus on cold-rolled thickness gauge AGC system in existence detection lag and rejection rack rolling control in exceptional circumstances.For the cold rolling thickness ceremony AGC system in lag detection problem, use Smith predictive control principle, designed a new the thickness gauge AGC system, use thickness gauge and Smith principle of compensation to compensate for the time delay in the system, get a faster response speed, eliminate the impact of the time delay on the stability of the system.According to the rolling process of abnormal situation, with AGC control technology as the theoretical basis, more detailed study on the rejection rack rolling technology. Around Level 1, Level 2 systems for program modification, including the number of determining rejection rack, consider 4 rack rolling state the each rack power balance, the amount of reduction, rolling force, strip tension, rack speed pre-set parameters calculated. Four rack rolling mode is achieved by modifying the rolling process, and rolling out the plate-shaped and plate thickness qualified products, ultimately realized rejection rack rolling stable operation.The practical result shows that, use the ’rejection rack rolling’ technology of 5 UCM rolling mill, the rolling mode switching steady and rapid, able to compensate for the prolonged shutdown of the production line in abnormal circumstances brought about huge economic losses. Further improve the process of cold rolling mill automation system control.In this paper the work for the research results to the technological transformation of the domestic industry has a certain reference.
