As the foundation of human society development, materials science is accompanied with the progress of each progress of human society. Developing of new functional materials to adapt the demand of modern social has become the historical mission of contemporary material field workers. Due to the different applications, various characteristics of materials need to be realized. Electrochromism(EC) is the phenomenon displayed by electrochromic materials that reversibly and steadily change color accompanied with the changing of transmittance, reflectance and absorption rate when a burst of charge is applied. Inchoate research focused on inorganic transition metal oxide electrochromic materials, such as: WO3、V2O5、NiO、MoO3、IrO2 etc. They generally have excellent stability and high color contrast. In recent decades, study of conducting polymers increased gradually due to its color change, good processing performance and low cost. Currently, electrochromic devices have been used in many areas, such as electrochromic display devices, energy-efficient windows, anti-glare mirror and so on. What’s more, it also shows considerable prospects for infrared reflectance devices. In this article, 2,2’-bithiophene(BT), 4,4′-Di(N-carbazolyl)triphenylamine(DCBZ-TPA), polyaniline/Titanium Dioxide(PANI/TiO2) were studied as the electrochromic materials. We prepared three kinds of film by electrochemical polymerization. The performances of electrochromism, electrochemistry and the dynamic infrared emissivity in the wavelength of 8-14μm were studied, the results were showed as follow:1. Three electrochromic films based on poly-(DCBZ-TPA), PANI/TiO2 and poly-BT were obtained by cyclic voltammetry method, which demonstrate uniform surface morphology, strong adhesion properties on transparent conductive substrate.2. The electrochromism performance of poly-BT results show that different colors of the poly-BT film could be achieved. The two colors are dark blue and red. The response time of the bleached states and the colored state were 9 s and 2 s, respectively. The maximum different of UV-vis absorption of Poly-BT film is about 35%, and the minimum emissivity is 0.23 in the wavelength of 8-14μm.3. Electrochromic performance of poly-(DCBZ-TPA) film was studied. The results show that: different colors of the poly-(DCBZ-TPA) film could be achieved, which exhibits as bluish green, light yellow and gray. The response time of its bleached states and colored state were 5 s and 3 s, respectively. The maximum different of UV-vis absorption of Poly-(DCBZ-TPA) film is about 19.6%, and the minimum emissivity is 0.282 in the wavelength of 8-14μm.4. Ti O2 nanorod(NR) array was prepared on FTO by hydrothermal. Polyaniline was achieved onto TiO2 NR array surface by cyclic voltammetry method. The performance of PANI/TiO2 hybrid film was studied, the results reveal that the reversible colors change can be achieved which are dark blue, light green and white. The response time of the bleached states and the colored state were 8 s and 5 s, respectively. The maximum different of UV-vis absorption of PANI/TiO2 film is about 20.5%.
