In this work, we prepared the general rubber filled with layered double hydroxides (LDHs) which is of perfect layered structure, large aspect ratio and good edge effect to improve polymer properties; The effect of filling, interface, dispersion of LDHs in the composites and the influence of LDHs on the properties of the composites is studied.First, in the third chapter, NO3-LDHs, NO3-LDHs-KH550, SMAS-LDHs and IA-LDHs are prepared. XRD, FIIR, TGA, XPS and SEM were used to discuss the structure and the intercalation degree of the LDHs. The results show that the LDHs are of uniform particle size, perfect layered structure, large aspect ratio and big interlayer distance. The LDHs/styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) nano-composites are prepared in a latex co-coagulation method. The results show that, the properties of the nano-composites filled with NO3-LDHs, NO3-LDHs-KH550 or IA-LDHs enhanced as the content of LDHs increasing but the gas barrier property of the nano-composites filled with SMAS-LDHs decreased. This is because the layers of SMAS-LDHs are too thin and fragile.Second, in the fourth chapter, IA-LDHs/NR composites are prepared by a latex co-coagulation method. The results show that, Dodecyl benzenesulfonic acid can increase the dosage of the IA-LDHs in the composites for the reinforced stability of natural rubber (NR) latex. Compared the composites filled with 15phr IA-LDHs to the pure NR composites, the property of gas barrier is increased and the tensile strength is enhanced from 17.7MPa to 27.5MPa. Besides IA-LDHs-CaCO3/SBR composites are prepared by a latex co-coagulation method. The results show that, filled with 20phr IA-LDHs, the tensile strength of IA-LDHs-CaCO3/SBR composites can over 20MPa and the property of gas barrier is excellent.Finally, in the fifth chapter, butadiene-styrene-vinyl-pyridine rubber (VPR) is introduced as an interface agent and not only improves the interface between IA-LDHs and SBR matrix but also makes the layered shelves dispersed more evenly, the degree of orientation more higher. Besides we papared some tires, the innerliner of which is LDHs/Rubber composites. We researched the process about mixing, rolling, laminating, tire vulcanization and so on. Now, we are checking the properties of tires.
