To obtain bioactivity ceramic coating with different contents of Sm2O3+ Y2O3 on titanium alloy, the wide band laser gradient cladding method was used. By means of Hd digital camera, X-ray diffraction(XRD), Metallographic microscope, Micro hardness tester, scanning electron microscopy(SEM), Energy dispersive spectrometer(EDS), confocal laser scanning microscopy(CLSM), enzyme-labeled instrument, the influence of bioactivity ceramic coating on organization structure and surface bioactivity with different contents of Sm2O3+ Y2O3 was investigated. The experimental results indicate that when the addition of Sm2O3 is fixed to 0.3 wt. %,the addition of Y2O3 are 0.0 wt. %, 0.2 wt. %, 0.4 wt. %, 0.6 wt. %, 0.8 wt. %respectively, coatings are of better apparent quality, ripple shape, black and porcelain glaze gloss. These has Ca O, Ca Ti O3, Ca5(PO4)3(OH), Ca3(PO4)2, Ti O phases. When adding 0.3 wt. % Sm2O3 +0.4 wt. % Y2O3, more HA can be found on coating surface.The gradient layers combine most closely. The micro hardness value is highest,microhardness of the alloying layer is 1572.87 HV, microhardness of ceramic layer is1121.17 HV. After soaking the coating in SBF for 14 days, most biological active phase and Ca- P base compounds on the coating are deposited and distributed evenly and regularly. Morphology of co-cultured MG63 cells are normal, bioactivity and number of cells are best, but the ability of osteoblasts transforming bone cells is less.In conclusion, this coating is of the best organizational structure and biological activity. The coating has the most suitable condition for cell breeding and growing.
