With the expansion of business scale and the continuous improvement of the level of information, large quantities of business data are produced during the operation and management of the enterprise. How to manage and recombine these data source, and apply them to business decisions has become an impending problem in “Big Data” development that coal mine enterprise have to face. At this time, mine informatization system based on multi-dimension data warehouse would be an effective way.This paper proposes improved methods in two aspects based on research of architecture of data warehouse and ETL algorithm, which is in accordance with the characteristics of the production and the management in mines, combined with the particularity of multi-source and heterogeneous of mine’s data. Finally, mine multi-dimension data warehouse is designed, and implement into information management system of Datun coal electricity company. The main contents of this paper can be summarized as follows:(1) In the aspect of architecture of data warehouse, by analyzing the problems existing in traditional data warehouse architecture, we developed a multi-dimensional mine data warehouse based on multiple data marts, whose relationship of data marts are enhanced by common dimensions. It can also simplify the development by using the quadratic integration and optimizes the structure of the data in data warehouse/data mart.(2) In the aspect of ETL algorithm, an improved real-time ETL process based on metadata and an algorithm of real-time ETL based on data quality control(DQETL) are proposed. The experimental results indicate that the real-time ETL algorithm based on data log realizes the zero-latency data sharing requirements between data warehouse and business system, and the new algorithm with data quality control can optimize the ETL workflow and improve the quality of data preparation for data warehouse.(3) Based on the above-studied results, the specific construction task of the Datun coal electricity company is defined, three subject modules of data warehouse system are defined as well, that is, production records, mine accident records and coal Distribution and sales data records. In the application of enterprise data-analyzing and decision-making achieved good effect.The studies of this paper can further improve the theoretical level of mine informatization management in coal mine enterprises, and the system is worth popularizing.
