Titanium and its alloys are materials hard to be processed, especially in the wire drawing process. While there exists many problems in the traditional titanium wire drawing process, for instance: high energy consumption, high wire-broken rate, high mold damage rate, poor surface condition of the wire drew,the adding of ultrasonic vibration in the wire drawing process will bring us many benefits.Due to the existing problems of the ultrasonic vibration system,such as complex designing process of the system,small amplitude and power shortages,this paper focus on the study of focusing ultrasonic superimposed vibration system of multivibrator and its effect on titanium wire drawing process.On the study of focusing ultrasonic superimposed vibration system of multivibrator, and the exploring of ultrasonic horn, first the paper focued on measuring vibration parameters of the wire drawing process. We studied the effect of the adding of vibration on drawing force and the contact stress by establishing a finite element model(FEM) of titanium wire drawing.And proper structure parameters were then selected with the aforementioned results under the properties of the designed vibration system.Through the theoretical research and structure design of the ultrasonic vibration system were then conducted.Through the primary selection of the vibration parameters in wire drawing,and the establishing of the four network theory,we then selected structure parameters of the ultrasonic transducer.Two focusing ultrasonic superimposed vibration system of multivibrator with different structure were then designed.They are R-L auto-focusing system and spatial staggered intersection angle hybrid system.The primary structure parameters of the two ultrasonic horns were selected through theoretical analysis and derivation.A structure model of the vibration system was established,and through finite element analysis and the optimization of the structure,we selected and confirmed the structure parameters of the two systems.The two systems were then applied into the wire drawing process.Through the study on the effect of the two systems,we establish a finite element system of the drawing process.Different results were obtained through the comparison of wire drawing under the vibration system and in normal conditions.Finally, experimental of titanium wire drawing on two kinds of vibration system was conducted. Through analysis,the design of the wire drawing system,vibration system,and the training system were completed and materialized.And a metal wire drawing machine was created.Impedance matching design was then carried out between the focusing ultrasonic superimposed vibration system of multivibrator and the spatial staggered intersection angle hybrid system,which were later applied into the titanium wire drawing experiment.We measured the drawing force with the application of the ultrasonic vibration system in the drawing process and observed the surface quality of the wire drew with a SEM microscope.With the experimental results,we obtained the final results of the effect of the ultrasonic vibration system on titanium wire drawing,which have great significance in practical production.
