Due to the advantages of high ability of minimization and eliminating the bacteria and virus, thermal treatment of MSW is gradually becoming major means of handling MSW.However, thermal treatment of MSW can give rise to secondary pollutions: fly ashes, trace elements and Dioxin, and so on. Based on the research progress at home and abroad, the effect of surfer on transfer behavior of trace elements during MSW thermal treatment is still a lack of systematic understanding. This paper is based on the background of Chinese MSW, and it is the first time that’s studying the effect of different forms of sulfur on transfer behavior of trace elements(Cd, Cr, Cu, Ni, Pb, Zn) during MSW thermal treatment, providing the basis for the control of the waste in the heat treatment process of trace elements. This paper is focus on experimental study, including the effects of different forms of sulfur on the transfer character of trace elements in incinnaration process and the effects of different forms of sulfur on the transfer character of trace elements in reducing atmosphere. In this paper, the main conclusions are:1、This article obtained the different forms of sulfur on transfer behavior of trace elements during MSW incineration. The differences between the inorganic sulfur and organic sulfur lead to different influences on transfer behavior of trace elments in incineration process. Inorganic sulfur can stabilize the Cd, Cr, Cu, Ni, Pb in bottom ash during incineration, BSNa can increase Cr,Ni volatilization during incineration. The Zn interactions with Al2O3 can result in the formation of stable Zn Al O2, so the form of sulfide has little effect on the transfer characteristic of Zn.Sulfide has a more large impact of relatively stable metal Cr, Ni during incineration. As temperatures rise, the presence of sulfur can stable Cr, Pb in bottom ash, until the evaporation rate would increase at 900℃.2、This article obtained the different forms of sulfur on transfer behavior of trace elements during MSW thermal treatment in reducing atmosphere. The difference between the inorganic sulfur and organic sulfur lead to different influences on transfer behavior during MSW thermal treatment.Sulfur can inhibit the volatilization of Cd, Zn in reducing atmosphere. The presence of organic sulfur caused greater Cd accumulation in the bottom ash compared to the case of inorganic sulfur. The sulfur has little impact of Cu and Ni.The presence of sulfur can lead the volatilization of Cr, Pb.In the same atmosphere conditions, the presence of organic sulfur caused greater Cd, Cu,Ni,Zn accumulation in the bottom ash compared to the case in the inorganic sulfur.
