An iron mine in shandong province is located in Cangshan county Shandong province. The proved reserve of this iron mine is 75 million tons, which belongs to lean magnetite of Anshan type. As a high concentration ratio of 4.0.the conventional process will inevitably produce high expenses. The key of this test is to find a proper mineral processing flowsheet according to the Characteristics of“Anshan type”lean magnetite ore and the local concrete situation. The process mineralogy analysis results suggested that the iron minerals of this ore is mainly of magnetic iron.and can be well selected. The dry and wet magnetic separation is used before grinding to improve the grade.and then come to single magnetic separation stage. The particles size of Valuable minerals and gangue are not uniform, so adapt staged Grinding-staged Concentration flowsheet. The process discarded a large number of rough tailing before the second grinding stage to reduce the energy consumption and steel consumption.etc.The result of condition test and full-flowsheet test suggested that use dry magnetic separation on the-75+12 millimeter particle size minerals and wet pro-concentration on-12 min millimeter particle size minerals can decrease 22 percent crushing quantity.and save 780 million yuan/year.The first magnetic separation can be abandoned all the amount of 43% tailing under the condition of a grinding fineness of 55%-200 mesh. After the second and third continue process.the final grade of iron concentrate was 65.2%,with the second grinding fineness of 80%-200 mesh.Staged Grinding-staged Concentration flowsheet developed a feasible method for the surrounding 10 tons of similar iron ore.
