Textile Composites mechanics research is a new directions of Solid Mechanics. There still do exist many questions unsolved both in theory or experiment. In this paper, only the tentative research has been done, there are 3 main research work for the topic:(1) Introduce the basic structure of textile composites in detail systemically. The mechanical model for main layer structure of textile composites is proved and given reasonably. The behavior under external loads of fabric, yarn, fiber is also studied in detailed.(2) The theory mechanical and mathematics model for draping behavior of textile composites is given, through computation using non-linear FEM, the result is acceptable compare with the experiment. Moreover, discussed several parameters that influence the draping behavior directly according to the problem. The result can be used as a basic theory of 3 dimensions dress CAD design.(3) Weibull probability function was used to describe the complex parameters for the first time that influence the mechanical behavior of textile composites under external loads. Especially the mechanical models of the inter-actions between yarns that will reinforce the tensile strength of fabric were discussed in detail. A more realty stress-strain curve of textile composites under uniaxial and biaxial tension is provided under this model. Further more, here we discussed the geometric parameter of yarn cross-section, critical length, woven structure and other factors in detail. |
