| From recent situation of the production of titanic mineral in the world, the exploitation and utilization of natural rutile and the natural rutile resource are drying up in abroad, which make the high grade ruitle turn to artificial prodction. There are abundant natural rutile deposits in china, such as Donghai eclogite-typed in Jiangsu, Dafu kinzigite-typed in Hubei, Bamiao-Qingshan amphibole-schist-typed where Henan and Shaanxi meet, Fenghuangjian phyllite - typed in Shaanxi and Nianzigou anthophyllite-typed .Especially in recent years, many large of rutile deposits has been explored in Nanzhao Henan, shangnan Shanxi, Xinhai Jiangsu, ect .But most part of the natural rutile deposits in China belong to hard-rock deposits with low grade , fine particle size distribution and complex mineral characters. Therefore, the processing of the rutile is difficult, it makes the natural rutile resource in China can not get the effective exploitation and utilization. Because the production of natural rutile in China is shortage, along with the demand of titanic mineral increasing, China has to depend on import. On this basis, fine grain refractory rutile was tested, in order to promote the exffloitation and utilization of natural rutile in China.In this dissertation, rutile of Fangcheng in Henan was seen as representative of fine grain refractory rutile, process mineralogical and series of mineral separation processes such as table gravity, high gradient magnetic separation and pickling, ect. The experimental results show that rutile concentrate of 92.16% Ti02, 80. 44%Ti02with a recovery of 65.26%, 10. 01% with a gross recovery of 75. 27% by a technological flow sheet of gravity-magnetic separation, pickling and gravity-electric separation.On the basis of small type experiment of mineral separation processing and according to actual demand of industry, the half industry and product-type experiment were tested. At last, the test of a technological flow sheet of magnetic-gravity separation, pickling and gravity-electricseparation showed that rutile concentrate of 92. 02%Ti02, 80. 55%Ti02 with a recovery of 65. 78%, 10. 87% and with a gross recovery of 76. 65%. It means the process is effective for recovery of the valuable minerals.Wastewater treatment and environment protection have been tested, the results show that the effluent can steadily reach the standard of wastewater discharge for Ore-dressing plant and of irrigation for farmland.This dissertation was completed and reported by Fangcheng in Henen to the National Committee of Scientific and Technology.
