In the various measures of wastewater treatment, flocculation method is one of the way that has the most wide appliance and the lowest cost and is in common use. But the key of flocculation method is to study high efficiency flocculating agent. The aim of this paper is to prepare a kind of poly- silicicacid metal salt flocculating agent--polysilicon ferric chloride (PSFC). Thepaper adopt soluble glass and FeCl3 to develop PSFC .The method to prepare PSFC is to employ soluble glass to prepare poly-silicic acid in the acidity condition. then add solution of FeCl3 into poly-silicic acid that isn't cured aged and make poly-silicic acid and FeCb react to prepare PSFC. In the process of preparing PSFC, the paper reviews factors that influence the PSFC's flocculating performance, such as the reaction time, the pH value of the solution, the concentration of SiO2 the concentration of Fe3+ the reaction temperature. The best directions for producing chemicals or metallurgical products and the preparation technological condition are found. The result of the test that balances the PSFC prepared by the best directions for producing chemicals or metallurgical products and the preparation technological condition and industrialized abio-macromolecule flocculating agent's flocculating effect, such as poly aluminium chloride, poly ferric chloride and the effect of treating oil field slurry waste water suggest that PSFC has excellent flocculating performance and has a good application prospect. The paper also discuss the flocculating function mechanism of PSFC and the feasible applied technological condition.
