Under the guidance of theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy,the prescription constitutes of Chinese Materia Medica such as Epimedii has be approved to be efficient and safe to PD by clinic use with decoction.With modern technology and advanced pharmacy equipment,this paper discusses how to make Qufeng granule which can be provided as a new,convenient and effictive Chinese medicine product to treat PD.Basing on the function of the prescription,Combining the character and mordern research of the herbal medicine in Qufeng,the study focus on the preparation procedure and quality standard.By studing with the origin of the raw material and experiment to the condition of extraction,condense,dryness and molding,the preparation procedure is confirmed.The optimum extraction condition obtained was 70% ethamol, with the volume of 10 and 8 folds of amount of Epimedii and Curcumae Longae,etc.refluxing and extracting for 2 times, 1 hour for every turn. Then the sediment both and the herb surplus were extracted 3 times by water, 1 hour for every turn,with the separate volume of 10,8,8 folds. Combining the purified and condensed ethanol-extract and water-extract with excipients ,we got a mixture, the mixture was turned into granule product by spray drier and fluidized-bed spray granulator.After inspected the granule product and studied the quality standard, identification methods of the thin layer chromatography(TLC) appropriate to the herbs in the prescription is provioded.And after methodology researching,methods were established for the quantitative analysis of Icariin and total flavonoids in Qufeng Granule by HPLC and Column Chromatography-UV spectrophotometry respectively. And a preliminary content criterion was made.The result of preliminary stability is good by keeping-sample observation for three months.Conclusion: The research on the preparation procedure and quality standard of Qufeng Granule indicates that the preparation technics are reasonable and practical,the quality of the product is steady and controllable.
