Nanoparticles have attracted a great deal of attention in recent years due to their interesting morphologies and particular properties. Selenium is an important semiconductor material and a necessary trace element for human body. Selenium nanoparticles possess superiority photoelectric performance and higher biological activity, so the preparation of nanoselenium is becoming an important research direction in nano-technology field.In this paper, the surfactants (SDS or CMC or PVP) were used as the soft templates in synthesizing selenium nanoparticles which were produced by the solid state reaction of Se02 with Vc or Na2SO3 or KI at low temperature. The effect factors of synthetic reaction were studied and selenium nanoparticles obtained were characterized by TEM,SEM and XRD.Our main work:1. The importance and the synthesis of nanoselenium were reviewed.2. Nanoselenium was synthesized by the low temperature solid state reaction of Se02 with Vc using SDS or CMC or PVP as the template, spherical and nano-rod selenium were obtained.3. Nanoselenium was synthesized by the low temperature solid state reaction of Se02 with Na2SO3 using SDS or CMC or PVP as the template, spherical and nano-rod selenium were obtained.4. Nanoselenium was synthesized by the low temperature solid state reaction of Se02 with KI using SDS or CMC or PVP as the template.5. Summery and conclusion.
