For the problem Of the interference Of chloride in with the determination of Chemical Oxygen Demand in high chloride wastewater, the comparison between CODcr , and CODcr, the influence of chloride ion on the measurement of CODcr, the research of conditional experiment of standard CODcr, and the alternate method of CODcr of high chloride wastewater have been thoroughly investigated. While the chloride content is less than 1000mg / L there is a linear correlation; While more than 1000mg / L there is no correlation. High chloride ion interferes the measurement Of CODcr, SO seriously that the results of CODcr can not reflect the real COD of wastewater. The optimal conditions of the determination of standard CODcr has also been chosen, but the result of CODcr is higher than the real COD.In this article ,we conclude that both CuSO4 can advance the oxidation rate of KMnO4 to organic chemicals, and the optimal conditions of the new method using MnSO4 as catalyst has been chosen, which is an important innovation on the research of catalyst in measuring the CODoH.
