But the explotation of mineral industry results in not only destructive land resounces, but also environmental pollution problems and so on . Especially water and soil erosion caused by mining areas and destroyed ecological environment are more serious. Therefore ecological rehabilition which emphasizes water and soil conservation on mining areas is extremely necessary. That realizing all kinds of land reclamation forms is very significant by utilizing vegetation to control erosion, protect clinohe, water and soil conservation and replant reclamation.This paper selects representational mullock fields and collapse sites to study vegetation covering pattern on water and soil conservation in Da Hong Mountain mining area as a reseachful target. And it chiefly makes an analysis of the current vegetation visage .destroyed status and trend in mining area. Water and soil conservation factions of different vegetation in mining area is discussed. Based on it site condition is evaluted and improved. Then the collocation of community types is defined and vegetation covering pattern on water and soil conservation in mining area is planned. In this paper, the effect of water and soil conservation in mining area is forecast by using Geography Information System (GIS) and universal soil loss equation. Finally how to fulfill relevant suggestions on the explotation of mineral industry are put forward.The results indicates that(1) different vegetations have different effect on soil erosion resistance factor. The benefit of woodland and grassplot on reducing erosion is well. The erosion degree of uncovered ground is the most serious. According to the effect on water and soil conservation, woodland and grassplot are well than fanned land. Farmed land is well than uncovered ground. The effect of woodland and grassplot on water and soil conservation is very well. In addition, the effect of accommodating runoff, holding up mud-sand and reducing rainfall on clinohe erosion is obvious.(2) According site condition in mining areas, the goal of utilizing deserted land and vegetation restoration is attained by the selection of plant species and logical vegetation collocation. The community layout and configuration design in Da Hong Mountain mining area is planned as foreatry chiefly so as to ameliorate sight and ecological environment. And it can be suitable for planting arbor maily which is configured with proper grass and shrub. This can be built defend forest and ecological forest. The places which need reclamation are planned as complexed fanning and forest malinly. The places which are on the top of mullock fields and slow clinohe of collapse sites are planned as farming. But the best form has the transition of woodland and grass. The places which are on clinohe of mullock fields and steep clinohe of collapse sites are planned as forest. This will form a layout of complexed defended forestry and farming and ecological mode. Acceding to community succession theory and development rule, adhibitting the best plant species supplied with the measures of got-up planting and management is a very important tache of accelerating thereclamation course..(3) The factor of covering ground C is the most important factor. Its essentiality can be proved by the relativity of practical surveyed data and calculated data. It is of benefit to soil erosion.(4) It compares maps of status & the forecast maps for soil loss consertation by using CIS and universal soil loss equation. The forecast effect of rehabilitation vegetation is showed. Soil erosion amount of vegetation rehabilition is reduced by 21990.898129 tons. Its amount is the same as 56.35 percent of unreclamated.
