Pre-coated Coil With Polyurethane Primer Developed

In this paper we give a review on the types and characteristics of the Pre-coated Coil Coating Primers were given. We classified the main components of the primer, including binders, crosslinkers, pigments, additives, solvents etc. We also presented the testing methods of properties and the application characteristics of the Pre-coated Coil Coatings.We synthesized a kind of PE-PUR resin, suitable for use as the binders of coil coating primers. The formulations were optimized by doing a series of experiments, including the types and amounts of the Pigments, epoxy resins, crosslinkers, catalysts, dispersant agents, adhesion promoters, anti-settling agents etc. We also studied the influence of the application parameters, such as thickness of film and PMT etc. To sum up. we developed a kind of polyurethane primers with excellent properties and which is suitable for use as Pre-coated Coil Coating Primers.
